The Sacred Rim Trail may be the highest - scenic views reward to hike effort in the Wind River Range.

The trail is an unmarked offshoot from the Pole Creek Trail - about a mile from the Elkhart Park Trailhead. From the Pole Creek it is another easy mile to a scenic overlook and the rim section of the trail.

The overlook is a popular local site so there is a fair amount of traffic. But once arriving, it is entirely understandable how the trail was named.
